Deputy Director for Programming
Graduate in art history at the Jagiellonian University, Ms Gumula began her museum career in 2000 as an intern at the Museum of London and V&A Museum. Having returned to Poland, she worked at the National Museum in Krakow as a head of Education Department. She created and later headed the Centre for Museum Education at the Royal Łazienki in Warsaw; subsequently she was appointed Deputy Director for Museum Affairs there.
She was one of the curators of the permanent exhibition at Pan Tadeusz Museum in Wrocław. Ms Gumula co-founded the Educators Forum and was one of the coordinators of studies on museum education in Poland, conducted under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. She is also author of art textbook for middle high schools.
At POLIN, Ms Gumula supervises the following departments: Research, Public Program, Exhibitions, Digital Collections, Collections as well as the Museum Practices Lab and the Chief Curator of Collections.
