"Spring 1941" by Uri Barbash – film screening and meeting
The film tells the story of Clara and her familys, starting with their desperate struggle to survive during the Holocaust.
After the war, in the early 1970s, Clara returns to her hometown and meets the people who helped her survive.
The film – the first feature to be co-produced by Polish and Israeli studios – is inspired by the stories of Ida Fink, a writer and Holocaust survivor. The meeting with Uri Barbash will be hosted by Dr. Joanna Ostrowska, expert in the field of Jewish and film studies.
October 28; 7 PM, free admission, conversation in Polish and English
