The Smugglers – a meeting in the POLIN Reading Room series
Ojzer Warszawski is an outstanding writer who is hardly recognized in Poland. His novel The Smugglers is considered the most important title in the genre of Jewish naturalism.

It is set during the last year of WW1 in a small provincial town, in Warsaw and en route between the two. Prof. Monika Adamczyk-Garbowska, Marcin Prengowski, Magdalena Ruta and Renata Piątkowska will discuss the book. Event will be chaired by Paweł Fijałkowski.
The book was published by the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.
