Larry and Klara Silverstein donation

We are delighted to welcome Larry and Klara Silverstein as Distinguished Benefactors of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews. At the end of 2012, Mr. and Mrs. Silverstein made a very generous donation to the Core Exhibition of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.

Larry Silverstein is the President and CEO of Silverstein Properties Inc., a leading American real estate company responsible for rebuilding the World Trade Center in New York. Mr. Silverstein is also a business partner of Museum Distinguished Benefactor Jan Kulczyk, Ph.D, with whom he runs Kulczyk Silverstein Properties in Warsaw.

Mr. and Mrs. Silverstein devote much of their time and resources to support many philanthropic endeavors. They are long-time supporters of NYU and Hunter College, the NYU School of Medicine, and active supporters of United Jewish Appeal Federation of Jewish Philanthropies. They are also staunch supporters of the arts.

In October 2012, with the support of Silverstein Properties, the Museum launched its campaign in the USA with an event at 7 World Trade Center. It was a unique opportunity for the Museum to introduce its rich cultural and educational offerings to the Jewish community in New York.

Thanks to donors like Larry and Klara Silverstein, the dream of the Museum is coming true.
