The Polin Academy Summer Seminar (PASS)

The POLIN Museum is pleased to announce that the second edition of the Polin Academy Summer Seminar (PASS) will be held on July 5-12, 2015. Thanks to the generous support of Phyllis Cook, who supported the inaugural edition together with Boeing Company, a group of North American Jewish educators will join European educators to explore the educational potential of the Core Exhibition.

The first two pilot sessions of Polin Academy Summer Seminars (PASS) were hosted by the Museum and the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute of Poland in 2013, bringing together forty educators from the United States and Canada and twenty from Poland. The educators participated in workshops, lectures, and tours, gaining in-depth knowledge of the history of Polish Jews and working together to develop new visitor pathways through and entry-points to the eight-gallery Core Exhibition.

Building on the success of the pilot programs, POLIN Museum invites teachers and educators from North America and Europe to take part in PASS  during the summer of 2015. It will be a unique learning opportunity for educators coming from various backgrounds to explore educational methodologies and practices to engage with the Core Exhibition. The educators will help develop strategies to most effectively disseminate the wealth of knowledge contained in the Core Exhibition to international visitors.

The POLIN Museum will be recruiting teachers and educators from Poland and others European countries for PASS 2015. Information about the rules of recruitment to the program will soon appear on our website.
