Larry and Klara Silverstein joined the Distinguished Benefactors of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in January 2013.

Larry A. Silverstein is the President and Chairman of Silverstein Properties, Inc., a leading American real estate company responsible for rebuilding the World Trade Center in New York. Mr. Silverstein owns and manages some of the most successful and high-profile commercial and residential properties in New York City. He is also a business partner of Museum Distinguished Benefactor Jan Kulczyk, Ph.D, with whom he runs Kulczyk Silverstein Properties in Warsaw.

In May 2006, Silverstein Properties Inc. opened 7 World Trade Center, the office tower located just north of the original WTC site. In November 2013, SPI opened 4 World Trade Center, the first office tower at Ground Zero. The company is currently developing two other office towers on the WTC site – 2 and 3 World Trade Center.

Mr. and Mrs. Silverstein devote much of their time and resources to support many philanthropic endeavors. They are long-time supporters of organizations that are dedicated to education and medical research, meeting humanitarian needs and supporting the arts.
