On the occasion of the opening of the Core Exhibition we invite you to take part in meetings which will allow you to look critically at the content presented. On December 1, a discussion will take place on the ways of presenting the history of Polish Jews as part of the Core Exhibition.

The participants will include leaders of the Jewish community and representatives of organisations dealing with Jewish heritage. We will jointly deliberate on whether opinions of the representatives of Jewish community have been presented at the Core Exhibition, whether the exhibition has become a breakthrough for this community and whether more recent history should be depicted there i.e. the history of the contemporary Jewish community.

The meeting participants will include:

  • Inka Sobolewska – the Chairwoman of the Association of “Children of the Holocaust”
  • Andrzej Jonas – the editor-in-chief of The Warsaw Voice magazine and a member and co-founder of the Association of “Children of the Holocaust”
  • Konstanty Gebert – a journalist, commentator and manager of the Office of the European Council on Foreign Relations
  • Judyta Nekanda-Trepka – an author of projects promoting culture of the Jewish Warsaw, including three editions of the festival of contemporary Jewish culture entitled “Open Twarda” and the cartoon entitled “The Golden Bees” presenting Jewish outstanding figures of the interwar period.

The meeting will be hosted by Adam Szostkiewicz – editor of Polityka weekly.

The event will be translated into English. Admittance free.

The cycle of activities under the title “Ours-Strange-Different” is realised as part of the “Jewish Cultural Heritage” project, “Faces of Diversity” component. Supported from the Norway and EEA Grants by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
