The Klezmer Divas have been hailed one of the best new Klezmer ensembles on the scene. Fay Sussman, the leader of the band, and Judy Menczel, film director and producer, have received a grant from the Polish Consulate in Sydney to make a documentary film, Fay’s Journey, about Fay Sussman’s return to Poland, bringing music to small Polish shtetls and showing how young people have begun to rediscover Jewish heritage. The film will be shot during the band’s ten-day stay in Poland. The concert at the Museum of the History of Polish Jews will be the Klezmer Divas’ first concert on their tour of Poland.
