What does the word patriotism mean today? What are its connotations for the young generation, for the elderly? Who are today’s patriots? What are their obligations and rights? Is one automatically a patriot, or does one become one? Why be a patriot? Why do some people refuse to be patriots? Polish patriotism vs. European patriotism. Does Polish patriotism differ from other patriotisms? Can patriotism be dangerous?

During the discussion we will reflect on various aspects of patriotism, its sources, and its effects. We will also address topics such as local and global patriotism.

The debate will be hosted by Paweł Lisicki, editor-in-chief of the Do Rzeczy weekly.
