Dr Nof Atamna-Ismaeel – the first Muslim Arab to win the Israeli edition of MasterChef wishes to introduce social change by means of food. She is the prime mover behind the A-sham festival of Arab food during which pairs of Arab and Jewish chefs cooperate in preparing traditional dishes originating in the regions they come from, such as kishek (Syrian yoghurt soup) or gatayef (dessert traditionally served during Ramadan). It is a film about hope, cooperation and journey through delicious flavours which demonstrates what can happen once we focus on people instead of their religion, and on the society instead of politicians.

The film "Breaking Bread" won the Audience Award at the Napa Valley Film Festival, as well as the Wilbur Award; it was also awarded by the Religion Communicators Council.

After the screening, we would like to invite you for a tasting of Israeli and Arab mezze served by the Warsze Bistro.
