TISH Festival at milk bars
Imagine that you enter a milk bar and instead of oh-so-familiar pancakes with white cheese you are served blintzes, instead of potato pancakes you get latkes, and instead of gołąbki (stuffed cabbage) you get holishkes.
- 22-26 September (Wednesday - Sunday)
You don’t have to travel all the way to Brooklyn, NY or Jerusalem anymore in order to taste traditional Jewish food! It is enough to pop in to the selected Warsaw milk bars which have changed the names of some of the dishes for the duration of TISH Festival.
Check them out, and you’ll see that there isn’t much difference between the meals Esther Shapiro eats in the Unorthodox TV series and the food your grandma used to serve you.
