TISH Festival: screening of the film "Hummus, Falafel and Sabich. Little Israel in Warsaw" by Nakarmiona Starecka (Well-fed Starecka)
Israeli food rulez on the Instagram! You don’t believe it? “Hummus” hashtag has been used over 2 million times! However, Israeli cuisine is much more than just a chickpea paste - it is also sabich, or a sandwich made with pita bread, slices of grilled eggplant and hard-boiled egg, falafel made of fava beans, aromatic shakshouka, and many other dishes and flavours that take us straight to the beaches of Tel Aviv or to the streets of Jerusalem.

Basia Starecka, journalist and author of a blog titled "Well-fed Starecka" will be our virtual guide of Warsaw’s restaurants and bars serving Israeli food. You will set off on a journey to the Middle East without leaving your home; you will meet restaurant owners who know Israeli cuisine inside out, tahini and amba flowing in their bloodstream.
