The synagogue's roof is coming to the Museum
We are happy to announce that we have begun the transportation of the reconstructed synagogue roof elements to the Museum. It is the first step to launch the installation of the synagogue’s roof in the Core Exhibition. With the help of the logisticspartner of the Gwoździec Re! Construction project – PEKAES S.A. – we have already transported all the painted panels forming a beautiful ceiling. In view of the delicacy of the panels their packaging and transport require excellent security. As always, the Pekaes drivers have provided an invaluable assistance. In the near future, the entire timber roof structure will be transported from the open-air museum in Sanok. It consists of more than 300 items of which the longest are up to 11 meters! All items will be stored in the Museum building until the installation process, which should begin in early 2013.
We would like to express our sincere thanks for Pekaes SA, which supported our project from its beginning.
