New Distinguished Benefactors of the Museum

We would like to welcome the new Distinguished Benefactors of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews – The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference) and The David Berg Foundation.

Claims Conference has awarded the grant of $1.2 million for the production of the Holocaust Gallery. The grant application submitted by the AJHI has been approved, both financially and substantially, thanks to the input from the curators and leading historians of the gallery. The Claims Conference is the single largest organization in the world working to secure compensation, restitution and assistance for survivors of the Holocaust or the heirs of victims. Through recovering the assets of the victims of the Holocaust, the Claims Conference enables organizations around the world to provide education about the Shoah and to preserve the memory of those who perished.

We are also proud to announce that the David Berg Foundation has awarded a grant of $1 million to the Museum of the History of Polish Jews toward production of the Street Gallery, one of eight galleries in the Museum’s Core Exhibition. The New York-based Foundation, which carries out the philanthropic legacy of the late David Berg, joins the Museum’s other generous Distinguished Benefactors.
