Light tribute to the fighters from the Warsaw Ghetto
On April 19 at 9:30 pm Varsovians were able to view an exceptional illumination commemorating the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Searchlights set up in front of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews and the Warsaw Rising Museum crossed their beams in the sky over the capital as a tribute to to those who fought in the Warsaw Ghetto and all those who perished in the Holocaust.
The searchlights were turned on by Simcha Ratajzer "Kazik", who fought in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and the Warsaw Uprising, and Eugeniusz Tyrajski "Sęk", a participant of the Warsaw Uprising. They combatants were helped by scouts and volunteers.
