Report: Inspiring Simchat Torah celebrations at the Museum
The main ritual of Simchat Torah are joyous processions during which celebrants dance and sing. On September 29, those taking part in Michał Piróg’s dance workshops at the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, offered their own rendition of festive dancing.
The famous dancer and choreographer was accompanied by dancers Katarzyna Kizior, Kaya Kołodziejczyk, Anna Sąsiadek and Bartek Figurski, with live music provided by Paweł Szamburski and Patryk Zakrocki of the SzaZa Duet.
The workshops ended with the screening of Let’s Dance, an Israeli documentary, introduced by Nili Amit from the Museum’s Education Department.
