Luxembourg's Grand Ducal couple at the museum
The Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg started their visit with laying a wreath at the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes. Then, the Grand Ducal couple visited the museum, accompanied by museum directors Dariusz Stola and Dorota Keller-Zalewska as well as Chairman of the Museum Council Marian Turski and President of the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute Piotr Wiślicki.
The guests learned about the symbolism of the museum building, and afterwards Dariusz Stola presented the history of the Gwoździec Synagogue reconstruction project. Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa watched the core exhibition, where Core Exhibition Program Director Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett familiarised the Grand Ducal couple with the thousand years of the history of Polish Jews.
The last part of the visit was seeing the "Warszawa, Warsze" exhibition, in the company of Curator Ewa Małkowska-Bieniek.
