US Congresswoman recognizes POLIN Museum
The Honorable Carolyn B. Maloney, Member of the United States House of Representatives, published a resolution celebrating the opening of POLIN Museum in the Congressional Record – Proceedings and Debates of the 113th US Congress.
President Barack Obama nominated Congresswoman Maloney to lead the Presidential Delegation to attend the Opening Ceremony of POLIN, the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in October 2014.
Following this visit, Carolyn B. Maloney published a resolution presenting the history of the Museum, including the unique idea to establish the Museum as a public-private partnership, and recognizing the role of the Museum’s Distinguished Benefactors. “I ask my Colleagues to join me in celebrating the opening of an important museum to celebrate the 1000 year history of Polish Jews, made possible in part by the generous support of Americans who are proud of their Polish heritage” – writes Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney.
