Sculpture of Józef Gabowicz "Maternal care" – USD 250
This sculpture, created around 1899, depicts the unity of a mother and a child hugging her.
Like other works of the artist from that period, it was strongly inspired by the art of August Rodin, whose course in Paris was attended by Gabowicz. The works in the socio-genre trend, which were intertwined with intimate scenes of a sentimental nature, brought the artist success at international exhibitions and were awarded many times, among others in Paris, Liverpool and Brussels.
