Nominees to 2021 POLIN Award
On 30 November, POLIN Award will be handed in for the 7th time. Since 2015, POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews has granted the Award to people, organizations and institutions actively engaged in the preservation of the memory of the history of Jews in Poland.
This year, the jury shortlisted 6 finalists from over 100 applications sent in from all across Poland. The name of 2021 POLIN Award laureate will be announced during the competition final in the social media and the formal gala held at the Museum. The overall sum of financial awards to be distributed among the finalists is 60,000 PLN.

"This year, the competition jury faced a particularly difficult task of selecting the finalists from over 100 applications, all of whom deserved recognition. The nominees are people who do not cease to act following their hearts or out of the need to fulfil a mission. They all put in a lot of energy, time and often their own financial resources in their activities. Our finalists this year are very different, but they all share one thing in common: against all odds, they continue to work towards the preservation of the heritage of Polish Jews, combatting indifference and the risk of falling into oblivion" - says Radosław Wójcik who is in charge of 2021 POLIN Award.
Starting from 2015, the POLIN Award laureates are individuals or organisations are engaged in preservation of the memory of Polish Jews and whose activities contribute to shaping the joint future, mutual understanding and respect between Poles and Jews.
The competition consists of two stages: the first stage of collecting and verifying the submitted candidates, and the second stage of selecting the laureate by the POLIN Award jury. We will meet the 2021 POLIN Award laureate and those granted honourable mentions during the competition final held in the POLIN Museum social media—on the Facebook profile and YouTube channel—on 30 November at 8PM.
Financial awards were funded by Tomek Ulatowski, Distinguished Benefactor of POLIN Museum, Odette and Nimrod S. Ariav Foundation, Wiktor Askanas and Ewa Masny-Askanas and an anonymous donor.
The Jankilevitsch Foundation is the 2021 POLIN Award gala official patron, the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute of Poland is its co-organizer.
The event is realised within the Jewish Cultural Heritage project financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway as part of the EEA Grants Fund and by the state budget.
