Margaryta Grynyvetska

Margaryta Grynyvetska was born in 1994 in Crimea, Ukraine. Started to learn music in age of 5 as a pianist. In age of 10 she has won her first competition "Vivat, musica!" in composition nomination. After music school graduation she entered Odessa State Music School by Stoliarsky as a singer and choir conductor. 

Margaryta made her debut as a symphony conductor with the school orchestra in age of 15. In 2010 entered Nezhdanova Odessa National Music Academy as a choir conductor and in 2011 started education also on the faculty of symphony conducting in class of The Chief Conductor of Odessa Opera Alexandru Samoila. During education Margaryta Grynyvetska was a horpitant on several opera and ballet productions: Mascagni's «Cavalleria Rusticana», Mozart's «Don Giovanni», Stravinsky's «Firebird» and «Rite of Spring», Verdi's «Aida» and «Messa da Requiem», Tchaikovsky's «Pique Dame» and «Eugeny Onegin».

In age of 19 made her debut concerts in Yalta and Sebastopol with Crimea Academy Symphony Orchestra. In 2014 entered The Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine as an opera-symphony conductor (class A.Vlasenko). During education Margaryta conducted concerts with works by G. Verdi, W.A. Mozart, A. Dvorak, M. Ravel, J. Sibelius, P. Tchaikovsky, J. Brahms and I. Stravinsky with Symphony orchestra of Music Academy and made her debut in Opera studio.

2015 - musical assistant of Oksana Lyniv in new production of opera «Selma» by Paul Ruders in Bavarian State Opera during Münchner Opernfestspiele and as her musical assistant in the recording of symphony works by B. Liatoshynski with Bamberg Symphony Orchestra for Bayerische Rundfunk.

As a conductor of ensemble "Artokrats" realized several projects: participated in "Mute Nights - 2015" open-air movie festival, voicing an old Ukrainian silent movie and performed music by H. Purcell, A. Part, P. Glass, M. Boiko.

In 2016 Margaryta made her concert debut with orchestra of Odessa National Opera and ballet Theater. Also this year she won The Grand Prix and the Audience Choice Avard in Ukrainian festival of young conductors "Muzychna Tavria" in Kherson, Ukraine. In 2017 participated in The Third International Stefan Turchak conducting competition (Kyiv, Ukraine).

2017-2019 - participated in Lviv MozArt International Music Festival in Lviv, where she conducted concert with works by baroque and modern composers with countratenors and gala-concert with Pumeza Matshikiza (sopran) and Nutthaporn Thammathi (tenor). Also she worked on Lviv MozArt Festival as a project manager of a performance dedicated to the Mozart dynasty.

From June 2018 Margaryta recived her first engagement in Odessa National Opera and ballet Theater. Her repertoire includes operas "Orfeo ed Euridice" by C.W. Gluck, "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" by G. Rossini, "La Traviata" by G. Verdi, Ukrainian opera "Zaporizhian beyond the Danube" by S. Hulak-Artemovsky and ballets "Nutcracker" by P. Tchaikovsky and "Masquerade" by A. Khachaturian and some productions for children. Also she conducted a concert-opening of the Christmas Festival and a concert dedicated to the Day of the Memory of The Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred where she conducted Pergolesi’s "Stabat Mater" and works by G.F. Handel, J.S. Bach, A. Corelli, S. Barber and M. Skoryk.

In November 2021 had a debut with Odesa Philharmonic Orchestra. On 2022 due the war in Ukraine Margaryta moved to Germany. In 2022 Margaryta participated in the Ukraine supporting concert which was streaming by ARTE Concert in Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre where she conducted pieces by Silvestrov, Skoryk and Lysenko and after successful debut she was invited to conduct "Giselle" ballet stagings in this Theatre.

Also in 2022 she made her debut on stage of Berlin Philharmonie and participated in Schubertiaden Schnakenburg Festival with Ukrainian exiled orchestra "Mriya", made her debut in St.Gallen Tonhalle, performed with the Orchestra of Musikalischen Komodie Leipzig, on Stelzenfestspiele, on a stage on Isarphilharmonie Munchen with Abaco-Orchester. Also she conducted Valeik Philharmonic orchestra in Crans Montana Classic Festival.
