On December 9, 2013, at 6.00 PM we invite you to the next meeting in the Lectures on the Core Exhibition series at the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.
Prof. Hanna Zaremska (Institute of History, Polish Academy of Sciences) will deliver a lecture entitled A Historian in the Museum. The Middle Ages Gallery of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.
Whence and when did Jews arrive in the Polish lands? Why did they stay? How does one describe 500 years of history on 300 m²? These and other questions will be answered by Prof. Hanna Zaremska – medievalist, author of numerous publications devoted to the medieval history of Polish Jews. Prof. Zaremska is also the author of the concept and narrative of the First Encounters gallery, which describes the history of Jews in the Polish lands from the 10th to the beginning of the 16th centuries.
