Thousands of Jews returning from the Soviet Union were transported to Lower Silesia in order to allow them to start their life anew.

Kamila Dąbrowska, Ph.D., from the POLIN Museum will explain how the social structures of the new Jewish community were being formed and what were the identity dilemmas which Jewish parents had to face when bringing up their children. She will also speak about how Jews finally left the Recovered Territories due to the rise in anti-Semitic incidents and sentiments.
