PEKAES SA - once again the logistics partner of the Gwoździec Re!construction project
PEKAES, the biggest Polish company of the TLS sector (transport, forwarding, logistics), will provide logistic support for this year’s edition of the Gwoździec Re!Construction project.
During the first edition of the project, which took place last year, PEKAES trucks drove more than 900 km transporting wooden panels of the synagogue’s copula to the workshops in Kraków, Rzeszów and Wrocław.
This year PEKAES will also provide transport of the wooden panels and painting materials to the cities participating in the workshops. The wooden elements of the synagogue’s roof will also be transported from Sanok to Warsaw, where the entire roof construction will be put together and installed in the Core Exhibition of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.
Gwoździec Re!Construction is an exceptional cultural and historical project in Europe. It is astounding and inspiring that during those workshops a group of international experts will - literally – reconstruct a cultural symbol that the roof of the non-existing synagogue constitutes. This invitation to join the project fulfils the CSR strategy of PEKAES activities – said Jacek Rajnowski-Janiak, Board’s Office and Communications Manager of PEKAES.
PEKAES is the only company from the TSL sector listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. For its clients PEKAES provides shipping of more than 5,500 packages daily. Everyday 950 trucks could round the globe eight times covering in total more than 300,000 kilometers. 50 years of experience and tradition in the area of transport and logistics makes PEKAES one of the most recognizable brands on the European ways.
We are pleased to announce that PEKAES joined our project, and we look forward to continuing the cooperation this year. At the same time we would like to thank for your trust and involvement, and great contribution to the success of the project. To us it is a confirmation of a big importance of our undertaking.
We are sure that with PEKAES we will always reach the destination safely and on time! – said the project coordinator, Agnieszka Szling.
