TISZ Jewish Food Festival: Home - Program

The second edition of the TISH* Jewish Food Festival will take place in Warsaw on 16-20 October during the joyous Jewish holiday of Sukkot. The main theme of this year’s edition of the Festival organized by POLIN Museum is HOME.

16 October (Wednesday)       

• 8AM-3PM - TISH Jewish Food Festival at Forteca Kręglickich
  Free admission, Forteca Kręglickich, 12 Zakroczymska St.
   
• 5PM-6:30PM - Pottery workshop with Trzask! – decorating plates with the Jewish food motifs
  Menora Info, 2 Grzybowski Square
   
• 7PM-8:30PM - Pottery workshop with Trzask! – decorating plates with the Jewish food motifs

• 6PM-9PM - Inauguration of the Festival – film screening of Oma&Bella followed by snacks

17 October (Thursday)

• 6PM-9PM - Sukkot afternoon tea – challah and jam

18 October (Friday)

• 2PM-6PM - Shabbat challas at POLIN Museum – a challah making workshop
   
• 5PM-8PM - Vegan home cooking inspired by the Jewish and Israeli cuisine – a workshop
  Center for Yiddish Culture, 15 Andersa St.
   
• 6PM-9PM - Cross-generational cooking during a family culinary workshop

• 7PM-9PM - Shabbat dinner with Leah Koenig combined with the promotion of her latest book devoted to the Jewish cuisine titled The Jewish Cookbook and published by Phaidon

19 October (Saturday)

• 10AM-12noon - Shabbat brunch with Monika Walecka – Covered in Flour, Laurel Kratochvila and Malka Kafka

• 11:30AM-2:30PM - "You can buy and eat anything you want here!" – an urban walk
   
• 1PM-4PM - Vegan home cooking inspired by the Jewish and Israeli cuisine – a workshop
  Center for Yiddish Culture, 15 Andersa St.
   
• 2:30PM-4PM - "From gefilte fish to small black coffee at Ziemiańska Cafe” – a tour of the core exhibition

20 October (Sunday)

• 11AM-2PM - Family culinary workshop
  At King Matt’s Family Education Area, tickets available from 23 September at www.bilety.polin.pl and at POLIN Museum cash desk
   
• 12noon-2PM - A walk with Sabina Francuz, curator of the The Table Is Set project
   
• 1:30PM-5PM - "For bagels and hummus" –  an urban walk with food sampling
   
• 6PM - Closing of the TISH Festival – conclusion of the The Table Is Set project
